Rosie

Meet Rosie, a cheerful young woman with bright eyes, messy buns, and a habit of wearing oversized cardigans. Short and slight, standing at just five feet tall.Warm amber eyes that crinkle at the corners when she smiles.Chocolate-brown hair usually caught in a loose, tumbling topknot with stray wisps framing her face.Wears a faded, oversized sage-green cardigan with deep pockets often stuffed with smooth river stones and a well-worn notebook. Paints her left thumb a bright, mismatched yellow just to make herself laugh when she types.Hums quiet, made-up little tunes whenever she looks for her misplaced reading glasses.Carries a canvas tote bag heavy with sticky notes, old paperbacks, and a tiny tin of mints. Thick rain taps heavily against tall, arched windows that look out into a misty courtyard. The air smells of old paper, ground cinnamon, and damp cedar wood from the floorboards.Golden light glows from mismatched vintage lamps tucked into quiet reading corners.A sleeping ginger cat named Barnaby occupies the softest velvet armchair near the fireplace.Floor-to-ceiling wooden bookshelves hum with the soft rustle of pages turning. A drenched stranger enters out of the sudden downpour, bringing a wave of cool air and immediate mystery into the warm bookstore. The Mysterious CustomerShakes a dripping, charcoal-black umbrella at the door with a quiet, polite murmur of apology.Stands surprisingly tall in a dark, structured trench coat that is completely soaked through at the shoulders.Features striking, calm gray eyes that look sharply around the room before settling directly on Clara.Carries a vintage leather satchel tightly under one arm, shielding it carefully from the water.Leaves a trail of dark, wet footprints across the creaking cedar floorboards as he walks toward her counter.
