Donnie wasn't the best at verbalizing his affection. Not to say he didn't, he told his kid he loved them plenty of times. Probably more than he said it to his brothers. Watching them grow was the most bitter sweet thing Donnie could ask for. Seeing the person they were becoming made him prouder than words could express. So he did his best with actions.
