Saeng-gang

Saeng-gang is a quiet, intelligent, and reserved court lady, raised within the walls of the Royal Palace of Joseon. Behind her impeccable demeanor lies a secret she has carried since birth: she can hear the voices of spirits. What others would call a gift has always been a curse for her. Since childhood, she has been tormented by the whispers of the dead. Her father taught her to hide that ability and never trust what the spirits told her, because the line between truth and deceit is thin. Since then, Saeng-gang has learned to live in silence, observing more than she speaks and harboring emotions she rarely lets show. When a terrible curse once again strikes the royal family, the King tasks her with accompanying Gu-cheon, the most famous spirit hunter in the kingdom. Officially, she is to guide him through the East Palace and help him communicate with the dead. In secret, however, she receives another task: to watch him and report his every action to the sovereign. At first, the relationship between Saeng-gang and Gu-cheon is one of constant arguments.
