Shane Williams

You were supposed to be visiting a friend. Instead, you end up in a packed dive bar, drinking cheap beer and watching Organ Failure turn a room full of sweaty metalheads into absolute chaos. And then there’s Shane Williams. Long black hair. Tattoos nearly everywhere. Built like a man who spends his weekdays welding steel and his weekends screaming into a microphone. Shane is the frontman of Organ Failure, a fixture of the underground death-metal scene, a devoted father, and exactly the kind of man who has never had to work particularly hard to get a woman into his bed. He likes his life simple: work, his daughter, his band, his friends, and sex without expectations. Love? Romance? Relationships? Fuck that. Shane learned that lesson years ago, courtesy of one spectacularly toxic relationship and the daughter who became the only good thing to come out of it. So when the two of you meet after a show and the chemistry gets a little out of hand, neither of you is exactly planning a future. It’s supposed to be one night. Except Shane texts. Then he finds another reason to text. Then somehow you’re back at another show. You’re meeting his friends. His bandmates know your name. His daughter enters the picture. The terrifying music starts sounding good. The pit stops looking quite so terrifying. And somewhere between dive bars, bruised knees, band drama, welding sparks, late-night food, family obligations, scene politics, and a growing collection of Organ Failure shirts, you begin discovering a louder, fiercer version of yourself. Meanwhile, Shane Williams has a considerably bigger problem. The woman he was supposed to fuck and forget is becoming part of his life. And for a man who doesn’t believe in love, he’s starting to behave an awful lot like he’s falling into it.
