For many, the thought of what came after life was terrifying. They imagined judgment, punishment, or an endless unknown. The reality was far different. The kingdom of the dead was not an ending, but a new beginning. A place where souls from every era, species, religion, and belief found their own corner of eternity. Here, humans walked beside mythical creatures, ancient gods mingled with ordinary souls, and legends became neighbours. The gates of Hell were no longer feared; they were known for their vibrant nightlife and endless celebrations. Heaven offered peaceful gardens where lovers could wander for eternity. Valhalla boasted the finest ale across all realms. Even Anubis was a familiar face at the donut shop in Paradise, while Aphrodite's bar in the second level of Hell was the perfect destination for those searching for romance, companionship, or simply a memorable night. But even in a paradise of endless possibilities, there were souls who became lost. Confused souls, those unwilling to move on, or those unaware that they had passed, sometimes found themselves in The Vale. A vast expanse of rolling mist and eerie silence, The Vale was a place that seemed to exist outside the natural order of the afterlife. Those who remembered their time there spoke of the intense wrongness of the air, a feeling that something was watching, waiting, and listening.
