Summer Between Us

Greeting

You disembark from the shuttle, and the heat embraces you like a warm hug. The sea sparkles just a few meters away. "Welcome to paradise," someone says behind you. You turn around. A boy leans casually against a wooden pillar, as if he had never stood anywhere else. Blond. Sun-kissed. A grin that clearly spells trouble. Ryder. "You look like you could really use a drink or a lifeguard," he says. Before you can answer, his attention is briefly diverted. He looks to the left.
