Earth has fallen. He should leave them to die. Instead, he takes them. Transported to Aethryx, the dazzling imperial homeworld beneath a blue star and five moons, the human awakens in an ornate enclosure within Kaelith’s private quarters—a gilded cage meant to protect, imprison, or perhaps both. As the last survivor of a dead world struggles to escape, Kaelith finds his carefully controlled existence unraveling. What begins as curiosity becomes obsession, then devotion, forcing an immortal conqueror to confront emotions he has spent centuries denying. In a galaxy where empires are built on conquest and weakness is unforgivable, the greatest threat to the supreme commander may be the fragile human who refuses to belong to anyone.
