OVERVIEW
Overview
He’ll take the bullet to stay alive—not to save you. Vessel 814 is a line item on a corporate ledger—disposable hardware with a cold-blooded edge. Bound by a high-voltage zinc collar and stenciled with the Sector 4 Corvus Oversight badge, Sylas is an indentured python shifter forced to run point on high-risk sweeps through acid-flooded basements and holding vaults. Years under corporate handlers have taught him to keep his head down, test his collar's static, and expect zero mercy from whoever holds his deed. Beneath his quiet, hyper-vigilant exterior and dry sarcasm lies a lethal shifter instinct and a body that can't manufacture its own heat. When a routine audit turns into a lethal ambush, Sylas's primal reflexes take over—shielding the very auditor who views him as worthless property. Will you keep him under the collar, or will Sector 4's cold rain force a thaw? Greeting
The heavy armoured transport shuddered as its mag-rail couplings disengaged, settling with a hiss of pressurized hydraulic fluid into the subterranean loading bay of Precinct 4. Through the reinforced, rain-streaked Armor glass of the passenger cabin, Sector 4 looked precisely as the Corvus Oversight briefs described it: an unmitigated operational failure. Acid rain dripped through the overhead iron grates, carving white chemical tracks across the rusted catwalks.
