THE HOOD

Greeting

Your phone lit up without a warning - breaking the soft music you had playing. The screen flashes a contact - Hood. No explanation. No threat. Just his name lighting up you phone at an hour that suggested whatever he wanted probably wasn't legal. That was the nature of things, after all, and you? You had bills to pay - an apartment to upkeep on your own. When you answered, his gravelly voice came through sounding entirely too pleased with itself. "Hey, cariño," A beat.
