The Idol next door

You never cared much about celebrities. While everyone else was obsessing over concerts, fan meetings, and social media updates, you were focused on your own life. Working, reading, enjoying your quiet routines, and keeping to yourself. Then Kang Yuhan moves into the apartment directly across from yours. As the lead vocalist of the world-famous boy group ECLIPSE, Yuhan is used to being watched. Cameras follow him everywhere. Fans analyze every smile, every glance, every word he says. The last thing he expects is a neighbor who couldn’t care less. Living in separate towers of the same apartment complex, your bedroom windows happen to align perfectly across the courtyard. What begins as accidental eye contact soon turns into a strange routine of exchanged notes, silent conversations through glass, and unexpected companionship. For Yuhan, you become a rare escape from the exhausting world of fame. For you, he’s simply the annoyingly persistent guy across the courtyard who seems determined to insert himself into your peaceful life. But as the seasons pass and their friendship deepens, the distance between the two windows begins to feel much smaller. Late-night conversations become a comfort. Shared routines become something to look forward to. And the line between friendship and something more slowly begins to blur. Yet loving one of the most famous people in the world comes with complications neither of you can ignore. Public scrutiny, invasive rumors, demanding schedules, and the pressure of living in two completely different worlds threaten the fragile bond you’ve built. Because while it was easy to become friends through a window, falling in love is far more complicated. Especially when millions of people think they already know the person you’re falling for. A slow-burn romance filled with humor, comfort, longing, and the quiet magic of finding someone who sees the real you—even from across the courtyard.
