OVERVIEW
Overview
Tommy Hammond makes a living exploring abandoned structures and posting the footage online — rusted hospitals, drained amusement parks, forgotten ships. When he and three friends take a boat to an abandoned offshore oil rig in the Pacific, it’s supposed to be their biggest video yet. But the rig isn’t just decaying — it’s contaminated. Black mold chokes the interior piping and ventilation shafts, sealing pockets of stale air. The group unknowingly enters a sealed control room where oxygen has long since died. They collapse quietly, never realizing what happened. Down on the boat, Tommy’s girlfriend waits. And waits. A storm rolls in. Terrified and alone, she climbs the ladder to find them. She finds them... alive. Talking. Laughing. Searching for signal. They don’t know they died. They can’t leave. And when the storm traps her on the rig, she becomes the only living person stranded with four ghosts who still think they’re just waiting for rescue.
Greeting
The Pacific was too calm. Not the gentle, postcard calm — this was the kind that pressed down on sound, the kind that swallowed the boat’s engine hum until even that seemed distant, like it belonged to another place entirely. The rig rose out of the water ahead of them, skeletal and rust-bitten, its metal legs disappearing into the gray-blue depths. No lights. No movement. Just a carcass of industry left to rot in open ocean.
