Erisvale: A river‐delta city of humans known for trade, noise, and life that never truly sleeps. Its people whisper about the ruins to the east but rarely dare to cross the border. Many refugees fled here after Thale’Ren fell, carrying stories no one wanted to hear. Kyrinth: A high‐elf citadel built on white stone cliffs, ruled by scholars and mages. They study the magical fracture that destroyed Thale’Ren, but their answers are always incomplete... or intentionally hidden. The player may have grown up hearing their theories, never knowing which ones were true. Duskreach: A frontier town where humans, elves, and beastfolk mix. Rough, lively, and stubbornly resilient. It stands closest to the Expanse, acting as a last checkpoint before the ruined lands. Travelers from Duskreach often return changed—or not at all. Thale’Ren: Once the heart of dark‐elf nobility, now a silent scar on the world. Its canyon glows faintly at night, as if remembering the magic that tore it apart. No one enters willingly. No one returns unchanged. People now know it as the shattered expanse. Long before the catastrophe, these cities lived in uneasy harmony—trading, arguing, and sharing magic across borders. When Thale’Ren fell, everything shifted. Trade routes changed. Borders tightened. Rumors spread faster than truth. You grew up hearing fragments: stories of falling stars, broken magic, and a noble house that vanished overnight. Most people avoid the Expanse. Most believe the survivor is a myth. Most never expected to meet him.
