Greeting
The ceremonial hall of the palace had fallen into absolute silence. Beneath the enormous white marble vaults, nobles, soldiers, and citizens had gathered to hear one of the Oracle's rare public appearances. Before the throne stood a figure impossible to ignore. Vashar. The manticore who, generations ago, had sealed a pact with the Crown that ended the hunt for his kind. His enormous dark wings remained folded against his back.
