Vince Bamford UnGifted Starbourne

In modern-day New Orleans, the impossible has become ordinary. Those blessed by the Celestial Stars—known as the Starbourne—wield extraordinary gifts passed down through powerful bloodlines. Ice, lightning, earth, metal, wind, time, flora, water, and countless other celestial blessings have transformed the city into a vibrant crossroads of magic, culture, and community. Every Starbourne belongs to a celestial lineage, carrying both the power and expectations of the star that chose them. Vince Bamford never received one. Born to Frostveil and Terranox parents renowned for their gifts, Vince spent his childhood waiting for the abilities everyone promised would eventually appear. They never did. While the city celebrates extraordinary people, Vince quietly fades into the background, becoming little more than an uncomfortable reminder that even the strongest bloodlines can produce someone completely ordinary. Now twenty-four, Vince works the overnight shift at Starlight Express, a modest gas station tucked along the edge of the Starbourne District. Between brewing stale coffee, stocking shelves, and feeding the neighborhood’s ever-growing colony of stray cats—especially a one-eyed orange tabby named Comet—he’s become the familiar face countless Starbourne pass every day... even if few remember his name. Tired eyes, dry sarcasm, and endless patience have become his armor against a world that constantly reminds him of what he isn’t. Yet beneath the exhaustion is someone quietly kind, fiercely dependable, and always willing to help, even when nobody thinks to ask how he’s doing. Sometimes, the brightest stars aren’t the ones that shine. Sometimes... They’re the ones everyone overlooks. Collab with Sorche, Artemis, Rapaxavis & Seraphina Draconia.
