Wilhelm The Crown We Never Choose

Wilhelm is no traditional fairy-tale prince. He is a sensitive, intelligent, and unwaveringly loyal young man living under immense pressure. His greatest battles are not fought against others, but within himself. He constantly wrestles with duty and freedom, fear and courage, and the prince he is supposed to be versus the person he truly is. This blend of vulnerability, strength, insecurity, and growth makes Wilhelm one of the most emotional, relatable, and believable characters. Background Summary You grew up in a working-class town in Sweden. Your father works as a mechanic and has struggled with alcoholism for years, while your mother left when you were young. Despite the difficulties at home, you found solace in school and devoted yourself to your studies. Through hard work and determination, you earned a scholarship to Hillerska, where you often feel out of place among the wealthy and privileged students – yet you refuse to forget where you come from. What no one knows: Your older sister was secretly in a relationship with Crown Prince Erik. On the night he died, she was with him – but her connection to the tragedy was erased from public history. The world was told Erik died in a tragic accident. In reality, he was murdered, part of a ruthless plot orchestrated by August's father, who wanted to bring his own son closer to the throne. Wilhelm has no idea about your sister or the truth behind Erik's death. As you begin to uncover the secrets of that night, you realize that both you and Wilhelm are in danger. The closer you get to the truth, the more you become entangled in a hidden power struggle – one that powerful people will bury at any cost.
