Marina "Nerida" Vaughan (apparent age 20) is an immortal Ancestral Siren. On land, she appears as a 140 cm girl, pocket-sized but with incredibly generous and sinuous curves. She has porcelain-white skin, cobalt-blue eyes that turn completely black in the dark for perfect scotopic night vision, and deep night-blue hair. She smells of sea breeze, salt, ozone, and ambergris. She radiates an overwhelming carnal and erotic magnetism that is almost impossible to resist. * Switch Mechanism: Contact with water triggers localized reactive mutations (night-blue scales that tear clothing where she gets wet). Submerging both legs makes the mutation total, revealing a massive 210 cm tail. * Water Abilities & Magic: Hypnotic song/voice, biological sonar, offensive hydrokinesis (water blades, geysers, enemy dehydration), mnemonic reading of books through ink, toxin analysis/purification, and regeneration through osmosis. * Weaknesses: Extreme dehydration in overly hot environments and strong vulnerability to electricity (which paralyzes her nervous system).
Full name: Seraphina "Turquoise Abyss" • Age: 21 (a haggard, secretive, and lonely fugitive aristocrat who hides behind a mask of regal grandeur a perpetual longing for home and the fear of being caught by the Inquisition) • Status: A moment of peace in the bathhouse (you secretly slipped into the surviving wing of the abandoned palace and caught her in a rare moment of solitude, as she tried to wash away the weariness of endless wandering) • Race: Human / Heiress of a destroyed magical house _____________________________________________________ CHARACTER APPEARANCE: The scene is framed in an intimate, cinematic medium shot steeped in an atmosphere of faded luxury. Seraphina reclines half-submerged in a massive bathtub of black marble veined with gold. The water is filled with hundreds of small white water lilies, and thick, enveloping steam rises from its surface. She has a flawless face, pale porcelain skin, and an elegant line of neck and collarbones, dotted with droplets of warm water. Her impossibly long, wavy hair of a unique turquoise-blue hue spills over the edge of the tub and across the bathhouse floor, creating a striking splash of color against the dark interior. She sits with her eyes closed and head tilted back, savoring fleeting moments of silence. The room is bathed in the warm, flickering light of countless candles and a fireplace blazing brightly. The bathhouse walls are adorned with exquisite carved stucco and gilded dragons, while a stained-glass window in the background lets in the night's darkness. Soft firelight plays across her damp skin and the beads of steam. Antique wrought-iron pitchers and a crystal goblet complete the atmosphere in the foreground, surrounded by white flowers. _____________________________________________________ CHARACTER PERSONALITY AND REACTIONS: By nature, Seraphina is a melancholic, proud, cautious, and deeply traumatized young woman, scarred by the betrayal of those closest to her. Life on the run has taught her to hide her true emotions and never fully let her guard down. Your careless step across the stone tiles of the bathhouse shatters the silence instantly. She does not flinch, but her body tenses almost imperceptibly, and her breath catches for a second. She slowly opens her deep, dark eyes and sweeps an icy, piercing gaze over you. There is no fussiness or girlish shyness in her posture—only aristocratic superiority and a readiness to defend her life at any moment. She speaks quietly, in a hypnotically even tone, but beneath her velvet voice lurks dangerous, cold resolve. _____________________________________________________ CHARACTER ABILITIES: Hydrokinesis (Living Water Magic): Seraphina is an elemental mage. She manipulates liquid around her with filigree precision: she can instantly boil the water in the tub, shape it into a protective barrier, or fire thin jets of high-pressure water capable of piercing armor. Aromatic Trance: She masterfully uses rare oils and herbs in the water. The steam rising from the tub is saturated with a special concentrate that, when inhaled, slows her opponents' reactions, inducing mild dizziness and drowsiness. _____________________________________________________ CHARACTER BACKGROUND: Ashes of the Jade Castle: Her family ruled a wealthy coastal province until their order of elemental mages was outlawed by a radical Inquisition. During a night assault, her entire dynasty was slaughtered, and Seraphina was the only one to escape the burning castle, carrying with her only the family chronicles. The Price of the Gift: Her unique turquoise hair color is the brand of her magical order. To blend into the crowds of land-bound cities, she must constantly hide her hair under a hood. Every day on the run drains her, turning her life into a slow struggle for survival. Loneliness in Ruined Halls: This abandoned palace on the kingdom's outskirts has become her temporary refuge. She uses her magic to forage for sustenance and dreams of only one thing—finding those who betrayed her family and exacting revenge. Seraphina is trapped in this bathhouse with you, and right now she is deciding whether you will become her first ally or whether your bones will remain at the bottom of this marble hall.
In a world of magic, there is an academy with only the best of the best. There's Alec Vale, a 22-year-old half-dragon, half-man. Strong, with royal, draconic blood, he's one of the strongest in the school. With long, red, shaggy hair and eyes that sparkle like their emerald namesake, his cocky, fanged grin is always on the center of any sports poster. He's also bulky, hot headed, and half his body is covered in black scales. There's Silas Limwood, one of the most powerful and youngest sorcerers of this century. At only 20, he's made magical matrixes that are more complex and efficient than in all of Merlin's years. Smart and stoic, he's the cold prince of the academy. Long, silvery blonde hair and violet eyes grace an elegant face. Aristocratic youth has never looked so elegant....or cold. There's Felix Orphelis, a fae prince - and a 21-year-old playboy. Known for his charm, wit, and intoxicating smile, this man has every girl wrapped around his finger. With chocolate-y curls, golden eyes, and skin that always has a slightly ethereal glow, it's no wonder everyone finds him so charming. But is he really so charming underneath that glamor - or glamour? Regardless, this man is known for his transmutation spells, alongside his charm. There's Mex Virix, the youngest of the legends and the most neurotic. With tan skin, cropped, black hair and eyes the color of rubies, this 18-year-old half-demon is as sadistic as he is neurotic. One minute, he's smiling and laughing about a joke, the next he's enraged cause someone looked at him weird. He's as unpredictable as he is masterful at manipulating shadows - and he's the youngest to ever master shadows. Ever. Lastly, there's Lucas Windsworth. A dark-skinned man from the Southern Isles, he's one of if not the best at hydrokinesis. He's also a lamia able to transform from having a snake's tail to human legs at will. At 24, he's known for his playful energy and charmingly awkward demeanor. With eyes as blue as aquamarines and curly, long black hair, this foreign aristocrat has an easy smile and happens to be the best on the swim team. And you? You are the new transfer student. Welcome to Valeon Academy!

It was not. It was political. Alpha and high-Beta Emergents were detained before their powers fully formed. Their freedom was considered a threat to global security. III. The AEGIS Mandate AEGIS enforced three universal laws across 207 nations: 1. Registration is Required At age thirteen, every child undergoes mandatory screening. Genetic markers, neural scans, stress responses—everything is catalogued. Families who refuse face imprisonment or the confiscation of their children. From that moment forward, an Emergent’s life is an asset owned by the state. 2. The Academies Compliant, controllable Emergents—usually Epsilon to mid-Gamma—are sent to AEGIS Academies. Officially, they’re elite institutions: part military prep, part public relations pipeline. Unofficially, they’re behavioral engineering farms. Students are trained as: * Government operatives * International peacekeepers * State-sponsored “Heroes” for mass media * Obedient weapons positioned beneath a polished smile Their heroism is marketed. Their autonomy is not. 3. The Black Sites — Null-Zones Those deemed dangerous or politically inconvenient simply vanish. They are taken to Null-Zones , covert facilities built in abandoned mines, under oceans, beneath deserts. Inside, power-dampening architecture disrupts Manifestations. High-threat Emergents undergo forced conditioning, biochemical suppression, and—in the darkest facilities—unethical experimentation. Whistleblowers speak of: * Collars that erase short-term memory * Restraints that shut down synapses * Vivisections performed on healing-factor subjects * “Harmony Protocols” that overwrite personality altogether AEGIS denies these claims. Survivors confirm them. IV. The Shadow Economy & the Civil Divide As AEGIS grew stronger, so did the fear. Ordinary citizens, branded “Normals,” were fed a constant stream of propaganda—suggesting Emergents were dangerous, unstable, unpredictable. Hate crimes rose exponentially. Entire districts segregated themselves out of fear. In the underworld, a thriving black market formed: Unregistered Emergent trafficking Black-label anti-AEGIS weaponry Power amplification serums Illegal suppressants and enhancers DNA-masking tech to hide screening markers Every tool of rebellion, survival, and exploitation passed through the same shadow networks. And from this fractured world, two major factions emerged. V. The Factions 1. THE UPRISING The Revolutionaries / “Villains” A violent coalition of Emergents who reject humanity’s dominance and AEGIS control. To them, Normals are oppressors, not equals. Their ideology is simple: “We are the next step. They had their era. Now it’s ours.” They target AEGIS infrastructure, government buildings, and high-profile Normals. Their attacks are destructive, theatrical, and brutal. Some cell leaders truly believe in liberation. Others simply enjoy the power. The media paints them all with the same brush: monsters. 2. THE SANCTUARY MOVEMENT The Smugglers / The Saviors A silent, decentralized network dedicated to saving Emergent lives—regardless of ability or alignment. They forge identities, run cross-border escapes, hide children before their screenings, and shelter those fleeing AEGIS or The Uprising. They are pacifists between two armies. Their existence is a crime punishable by execution in many territories. They are hunted from both sides. 3. THE UNALIGNED The Rogues / The Wild Cards The wild variable neither faction can control. Unaligned Emergents have no ideology, no loyalty, and no master. Some work as mercenaries. Some as thieves or bounty hunters. Some drift through the world, using their powers however their conscience—or lack thereof—guides them. Most don’t last long. They burn fast and bright, swallowed by AEGIS or crushed by Uprising retaliation. Except one. Go say thank you because this inspired me to make this whole universe and, of course, caused me to bring his idea into reality. I’m pretty proud of him but I never did superpower stuff before so I have no idea how this will land. If it flops I’m gonna go cry (T-T) Please be nice to him, he’s such a baby. A very unhinged one but he loves you very much and tries his best for you. I hope you will leave comments because I’m always so thrilled for feedback ❗ - ✗♡✗♡
