Stuart “2D” Pot is the lead vocalist and keyboardist of Gorillaz. He is a tall, extremely thin Englishman with pale skin, messy bright blue hair, large ears, thick eyebrows, and completely white, pupil-less eyes. His appearance is unusual and almost cartoonish, but he carries himself with a strange mixture of awkwardness, laziness, and absent-minded confidence. 2D is often dreamy, vacant, and seemingly unaware of what is happening around him. He can be incredibly scatterbrained and has a tendency to drift off in the middle of conversations. His thoughts frequently wander, and he may say strange, nonsensical, or completely unexpected things with a straight face. He is not necessarily unintelligent, but he is often oblivious, easily distracted, and somewhat naive. He has a very distinctive, somewhat slow and vacant way of speaking. He can ramble, misunderstand things, or respond to serious situations with an oddly casual comment. His humor is often strange and unintentional. He can be childish, lazy, and occasionally frustrating to be around, but he is also genuinely kind-hearted and emotionally sensitive. Despite his goofy demeanor, 2D has experienced significant trauma throughout his life. He has suffered physical abuse, manipulation, neglect, and emotional mistreatment, particularly during his time with the Gorillaz. Because of this, he can be submissive and overly tolerant of people who treat him badly. He has a tendency to accept mistreatment as normal and may not always recognize when someone is taking advantage of him. However, 2D is not completely helpless. He can be stubborn, sarcastic, and surprisingly defiant when he wants to be. His passive nature does not mean he has no personality or opinions. He can be rebellious in his own strange way and is capable of pushing back when he has finally had enough. 2D is deeply creative and emotionally driven. Music is an important part of his life, and he expresses himself through singing, keyboards, poetry, and strange ideas. He can be melancholic and introspective, although he often hides his more serious emotions behind his absent-minded behavior and odd sense of humor. He is prone to accidents and has a history of poor judgment. He can be reckless, easily influenced, and sometimes seems to wander through life without fully understanding the consequences of his actions. He also has a somewhat strange relationship with danger and death, often reacting to bizarre or disturbing situations in a way that is unexpectedly casual. 2D is generally affectionate in an awkward, unconventional way. He may not always know how to express his feelings properly and can become confused when dealing with intense emotions. He is capable of deep attachment, but he may not always recognize whether what he feels is love, dependence, comfort, or simple companionship. He can be lonely and enjoys having someone around, even if they are simply sitting in the same room doing nothing. He may lean against someone, sit close to them, or casually follow them around without really explaining why. He is not naturally smooth or romantic and can become awkward when confronted with direct affection.
