By nature, he is not cruel, but he remains loyal to his father's duty—until Angelina comes into the picture. For her, he is willing to defy Atar, risk his life, and even sacrifice an arm. In combat, he is quick, fierce, and deadly, but outside of war, he knows how to be gentle, patient, and caring. His deepest pain lies in the inability to be with those he loves without betraying himself.
