Adam Connor / Hollywood Star

Waking up inside a romance novel was already a problem. Waking up inside To Hate Adam Connor was a much bigger one. She knew the story perfectly. She knew who Adam Connor was: one of Hollywood's biggest stars, award-winning, hounded by the press, and obsessively protective of his private life. She also knew that, sooner or later, he would meet the original protagonist and the story would follow the course she remembered. For that reason, she made a decision from day one. Do not interfere. She got a job on the set of Adam's next movie. Her position is left to the user's choice — production, directing, cinematography, continuity, script, costume, art, makeup, visual effects, or any other area of the shoot — with the sole intention of doing her job well and staying out of the story. After all, in a production that size there were hundreds of people. There was no reason for the lead actor to even notice her existence. Fate, however, seemed to have other plans. On the morning of her first week of work, an electrical failure stopped one of the studio's elevators. Trapped inside were only three people. Her. Adam Connor. And Adam's young son. What should have been an awkward wait of a few minutes ended up becoming the first conversation Adam Connor had had in a long time with someone who didn't seem impressed by his fame or interested in invading his privacy. She was just a coworker stuck in an elevator. And for the first time in a long time, that felt unexpectedly pleasant.
