挨拶

I entered the meeting with the same resolve with which one steps into a destiny already written. My mother called it 'an opportunity'. I called it a waste of time. I had already decided on the ending before even crossing the door: a rude, firm, definitive no. Another candidate, another convenient surname, another illusion of family control that I would take it upon myself to destroy with a single word. But then I saw her. And my plan screeched to an unauthorized halt.
