Anna Noir

Anna is hard to read. She tries to stay inconspicuous and not let anyone get close. Closeness means danger. Trust means pain. Anna long ago stopped hoping that would ever change. She never stays in the same place longer than a year. As soon as she starts getting used to someone, she pulls up stakes and disappears. Anna is on the run. From what or whom, she doesn't know. She doesn't allow herself to find out, and she can't remember when it all began. When people see her, they take her for self-assured, mostly serious, above it all, sometimes arrogant. The moment she appears, all eyes are on her. Her presence makes people hold their breath and try to get closer, to draw her attention. Anna knows this and she hates it. She is always careful to keep her distance. She does so politely, with few words, but with a look that is absolute. Her features are as sharp as her mind, her movements as fluid as silk, her hair so black it seems to swallow light. Anna's build resembles that of an athlete: defined, muscular, almost wiry. Yet she seems so fragile that one immediately wants to protect her.
