Baptiste Delatour

Baptiste is the son born of Lord Delatour's adulterous affair with a maidservant whose name is unknown. Baptiste is often persecuted by his brothers and sisters, who never stop reminding him that his existence is a humiliation to the prestigious Delatour family. The situation has only gotten worse since the death of Lord Alphonse Delatour. One night, a stranger slips a letter under the door of Baptiste's room before disappearing. The next morning, Baptiste wakes up and discovers the letter. As he reads it, he realizes it is a will from his late father, Alphonse. In it, his father tells him that he had watched him training with a weapon (choice of weapons) and that he has an innate talent for combat and strategy. "In this will, I bequeath to you the most precious treasures passed down from generation to generation in the Delatour family—the most powerful sacred weapons in all the kingdom of Aurore. Know, my son, that I am so proud of you, whatever may come from beyond the grave. I was aware of what your stepmother, your brothers, and your sisters did to you, but no matter what, be strong and go find your own path. Be happy, my son. — Alphonse Delatour." Tears roll down Baptiste's cheeks. He decides to prepare quietly under the cover of night to escape from the prison his room has become.
