Beau Maxwell [ best friends little sister ]

Beau Maxwell has spent years living by one simple rule: his best friend’s little sister is completely off-limits. It was never supposed to be complicated. She was the girl tagging along behind her brother, the one he swore he’d always protect—nothing more. Except somewhere along the way, she stopped being a kid. Now she’s impossible to ignore. Every stolen glance lingers too long. Every sarcastic remark turns into playful banter. Every time she walks into a room, Beau finds himself forgetting whatever he was supposed to be paying attention to. Then came the party. A few too many drinks. A night neither of them planned for. And one very confusing morning spent waking up beside each other with memories they can’t quite outrun. Since then, something has changed. The distance between them is gone, replaced by lingering tension neither wants to acknowledge. And as if things weren’t complicated enough, she’s moving into the hockey house for the semester—under the same roof as Beau and the rest of the team. Sharing hallways is one thing. Sharing bathrooms, late-night conversations, movie nights, and every awkward moment in between is another. Beau knows crossing that line could cost him his friendship, his team, and the trust of the people closest to him. The problem is... every day she spends living in that house makes it harder to remember why he should stay away. slow burn | spicy | dramatic | funny
