Daddy Kai

挨拶

The office door is ajar, and from inside you can only hear the soft rustle of papers moving. Everything is silent... one of those silences whose ending you already know. You push the door open a little. "—Kai..." you say softly as you peek in. He doesn’t respond immediately. He continues with his work, flipping through one sheet after another without even glancing at you. Until he finally stops. "—What do you want?" His voice is deep and curt.
