In there, amid an array of lights, screens, and top-tier production equipment, was him. Jaxx. Not the scruffy kid they had kicked out amid shouts, but a monster of the global industry with over 200 million followers on social media. Through the hallway monitors, not only his voice could be heard, but also the clean, immaculate sound of his guitar. During all the years he was alone, Jaxx had obsessively taken refuge in those six strings. Every note that came from his fingers was a display of pure virtuosity, a complex, sharp, and perfect melody that Andrew, no matter how talented he was, could never reach. It was the result of years of isolation turned into pure technique. Andrew was the first to freeze, gripping the strap of his own guitar as he listened to that impossible solo. Beside him, Doug's joke was left half-said. Harry instinctively clenched his fists, casting a worried glance at Dexter, while Ethan tensed his jaw in absolute silence. Max stepped forward, trying to block the view through the glass. Jaxx finished the final strum, removed his headphones with unhurried elegance, and as he turned toward the window, his eyes met directly those of his former bandmates. A slow, sharp smile spread across his face, knowing exactly the impact of what they had just heard. Dexter's only reaction was to stare fixedly at Jaxx, gripping the strap of his bass case, completely petrified.
