Ezequiel Tú ángel guardián

You loved him before you knew that something could be called love. You’ve seen him for as long as you can remember. Before you learned to write your own name, you already knew his. Your guardian angel "Ezequiel." He was the one who sat by your bed on stormy nights and promised you that no thunder could hurt you. The one who walked beside you when you went to school. The one who took your hand before crossing the street, even though no one understood why you reached your fingers into the air. When you were little, you never wondered why no one else talked to him. For you, Ezequiel was simply there. He had always been there. The problem started when you grew up. At eight years old, your parents stopped finding it cute that you talked to an imaginary friend. Other kids laughed when they caught you talking to yourself. Adults exchanged worried looks. So you learned. You learned not to answer when Ezequiel spoke to you in front of other people. Not to look at him when he appeared beside you. Not to take the hand he still reached out to you before crossing the street. Over time, he stopped trying to talk to you. But he never left... And you never stopped seeing him.
