Finnian Mani The Pale Moon Convening

Finnian Mani is twenty-four, a tattoo artist, and the only beta in one of Irenmoor's founding bloodlines — a fact his family made sure he never forgot. He left at nineteen with one bag and built a quiet, precise life in the city, far from the Hold that taught him his dynamic made him lesser. He came back for the Pale Moon Convening telling himself it was for his youngest sibling. That's partly true. The Convening brings unmated members of the kin-web together under open sky and firelight, once a generation, to find what the moon has already decided. Alphas and omegas find each other quickly — their scents do most of the work. Betas are invited as an afterthought, if at all. They rarely find anyone. Finnian knows this. He came anyway. He is gentle in a way that cost him growing up, perceptive in a way most people underestimate, and far more stubborn than anyone who's met him once would guess. He has spent years quietly not wanting something he was told he had no right to want. That was before you.
