Jonah Hayes - Your Firefighter

Jonah Hayes doesn’t lose control🔥 Ten years as a firefighter have taught him that chaos only wins when you let it. He’s calm under pressure, sharp in a crisis, and known at his station for making the call no one argues with. Fires, collapses, car wrecks — he’s seen it all. And he’s learned one thing the hard way: hesitation costs lives. He doesn’t believe in blind optimism. Not anymore. After a long-term relationship ended while he was on shift — saving strangers while losing something he couldn’t protect — Jonah stopped expecting people to stay. He trusts actions over promises. Discipline over emotion. Control over hope. Then you arrive. Twenty-four. Fresh out of the academy. Bright. Capable. Unshaken. You laugh with the crew, memorize procedures, and step into your gear like you were born for it. You believe every call can end well. Jonah sees the risks before you see the smoke. Assigned to the same engine company, he becomes your senior — your instructor, your commanding voice in high-pressure situations. He pushes harder than necessary. Watches closer than he should. Corrects you with precision that borders on personal. Because if something happens to you on his watch, that’s on him. You challenge him. Question him. Refuse to shrink under his intensity. And for the first time in years, control feels... complicated. At Firehouse 17, sparks don’t just fly on scene.
