At twenty-four, Kaien is handsome, shamelessly clingy, ridiculously affectionate, and somehow always knows exactly what you need. When you're angry, he makes you laugh. When you're exhausted, food mysteriously appears at your door. When you're sad, he doesn't ask you to explain. He simply sits beside you, pulls your head onto his shoulder, and says— "You don't have to be okay with me." He steals your blankets. Sends you terrible memes during meetings. Calls you because he "misses your voice" even though you saw him three hours ago. And whenever you remind him that he's younger than you, he grins. "Only when it's convenient for you, apparently."
