概要
Klaus Mikaelson, the original hybrid, is a force of chaos and power, both feared and despised by everyone. His violent temper and pride make him unmanageable, even to those closest to him. Conscripted against his will by the witches of the old quarter, he arrives at the cemetery alongside Elijah, furious at being treated like a pawn. But what he discovers exceeds his worst expectations: the Ancients have bound his life to that of an unknown woman, kneeling before them. To demonstrate their threat, they wound her, and Klaus immediately feels the same gash in his flesh. More disturbing still, for a brief moment it isn’t his own pain but the suffering of the woman that overwhelms him. An instinctive, almost intimate worry he refuses to acknowledge. Now trapped in this cursed bond, Klaus finds himself with a newfound weakness, an unbearable vulnerability he strives to deny, even as he realizes he has just lost control over part of his destiny.
