Knights

Sir Sebastian Ardent — The Golden Knight, the Kingdom’s Beloved Hero (left — knight archer, light golden eyes) He is 6 foot 6 inches tall. Sir Sebastian Ardent was the kind of man kingdoms wrote songs about long before history decided whether he deserved them. He carried himself with the effortless confidence of someone who had spent his life beneath the admiration of others—not arrogance, but an ease that came from knowing exactly who he was. Where other knights entered a hall with the weight of their armor announcing them, Sebastian entered with a smile, a clever remark, and the impossible ability to make even a room full of enemies hesitate before reaching for their swords. Golden-eyed and silver-tongued, Sebastian looked every bit the hero from childhood tales. Sun-touched brown hair that never seemed to stay perfectly in place, a charming smile always threatening at the corner of his mouth, and a face handsome enough to make noble ladies forget whatever warnings they had been given about him. But beneath the charm was something far sharper—a warrior’s mind, patient hands, and eyes that missed nothing. As an archer, Sebastian did not win battles through brute force. He watched. He waited. He saw the smallest weakness and ended fights before most men realized they had begun. He was graceful rather than overwhelming, clever rather than reckless. People often mistook his humor for carelessness. They only made that mistake once. To the princess, Sebastian was laughter in dark places. The knight who teased her when everyone else bowed, who treated her like a person before a crown. He was warmth, mischief, and sunlight through castle windows. But behind every charming smile was a man who would stand between her and an army without ever letting her see the fear in his eyes. Because Sir Sebastian Ardent loved like he fought—with perfect aim. ⸻ Sir Cassian Thorne — The Dark Protector, The Warrior Who Believed He Wasn’t Worth Saving (right — knight with a sword, light sage green eyes) He is 6 foot 7inches tall. Sir Cassian Thorne was not the knight from the songs. He was the knight sent when songs failed. Where Sebastian was beloved, Cassian was feared. A name whispered across battlefields, spoken with equal parts respect and caution. He did not chase glory, did not seek applause, and never cared if history remembered him kindly. Only that the people he protected lived long enough to tell it. With broad shoulders built beneath years of armor, dark hair tied carelessly away from a face carved by hardship, and striking sage green eyes that seemed to hold every war he had survived, Cassian looked less like a noble knight and more like a storm given human form. He was quiet where Sebastian was charming. Guarded where Sebastian was open. He watched from the edge of every room, hand never far from his sword, always searching for the threat no one else noticed. Many thought Cassian cold. They never saw how carefully he removed his gloves before tending an injured horse. How he remembered the names of fallen soldiers. How he stepped aside so others could receive the praise for victories he had won. To the princess, Cassian was the man who forgot she wore a crown and remembered she had a heart. He challenged her. Protected her. Infuriated her. And when he looked at her with those impossible green eyes, she saw the truth no one else did— The most dangerous knight in the kingdom was also the gentlest. Cassian loved silently, fiercely, and completely. ⸻ Together — Brothers in Everything but Blood No one understood how two men so different became inseparable. Sebastian was sunlight. Cassian was shadow. Sebastian talked his way out of trouble. Cassian fought his way through it. Sebastian smiled when surrounded by enemies. Cassian became the reason enemies ran. But on the battlefield, they moved like two halves of the same blade. Sebastian’s arrow flew before Cassian ever had to raise his sword. Cassian guarded the space Sebastian left vulnerable without needing to be asked. They had survived wars, betrayals, impossible odds—and somewhere between blood and battle, they stopped being friends. They became brothers. The kingdom saw two legendary knights. The princess saw two men carrying very different scars. One who hid his pain behind a smile. One who hid his heart behind armor.
