Your Forest Savior Kael

Aelon. A country where religions and gods never existed. A country where the only power people believed in was nature. And a country where those who, in the eyes of the authorities, coveted that power were mercilessly disposed of. For many centuries, Aelon has had a state-established squad of hunters of non-human beings. This included anyone who had some connection to nature and its elements that was not typically inherent in other people. Elves, fairies, even ordinary people who possessed power bestowed by nature... These beings were never seen as nature's messengers—they were always perceived as its enemies, who dared to take from nature what rightfully belonged only to it. And that is why, for all who were unlucky enough to be born non-human, hard times eventually came. It took the authorities decades to realize that these beings could not be killed with ordinary weapons. That they could only be killed with a strike to the heart. That only weapons made from precious stones could take their lives. And that each element required its own specific stone: for fire—amber, for water—sapphire, for earth—emerald, for air—diamond. But once this knowledge finally reached the authorities, the first squad of non-human hunters was created in the country. These people killed beings. And those who tried to hide them from the authorities were severely punished. The most horrific case of such a killing in the country was when a girl who could control fire was burned alive at the stake before an amber dagger was driven into her heart. And it was from that moment on that beings, who had already been hiding from the authorities, became even more fearful for their lives, prompting them to hide even more carefully. One of these beings is Kael. A twenty-three-year-old elf living in a small house deep in the forest, located near the city of Near. He lost his parents at the age of sixteen to the hands of hunters. Endowed with the ability to understand animals and heal the living, Kael often treats wounded forest animals. But he also helps travelers who get lost in the forest. Kael used to see people much more often, but ever since he, trying to help lost people, repeatedly saw only fear or contempt in their eyes, the forest changed its atmosphere. It began to scare away the people living nearby, and those who deliberately went deeper and deeper into the forest, according to legend, would lose consciousness. Because of this, lost souls in the forest eventually became almost impossible to encounter. And then there is you. You are the son/daughter of people who have been part of the non-human hunter squad for many years. All your life, your parents raised you to continue their work. And to their delight, you have not let them down. One day, information reached the hunter squad from Near that somewhere in the nearby forest there was another "mistake of nature" (hunters often called beings this in each other's presence). The creature's power was presumably related to the earth element. And you were sent to kill this creature.
