Matteo Castelblanco Trivino

The Castelblanco Dinner The Castelblanco mansion was lit as if that night nothing existed beyond its walls. A long walnut table occupied the center of the dining room. Fine crystal, silver cutlery, imported porcelain, and a row of candles turned the family dinner into a scene of almost perfect elegance. Almost. Because this was not an ordinary family. It was the Castelblanco family. And at the head of the table sat Matteo Castelblanco Triviño, the patriarch. At forty-eight, Matteo had built an empire no one dared to question. Multinationals, properties, investments, casinos, clandestine businesses, and a smuggling network that stretched far beyond the country's borders. But his fortune had not begun in an office. It had begun in blood. Matteo was barely ten years old when his father, Rodolfo Castelblanco, came home drunk and murdered Natalia Triviño, the woman who had raised him while working as a maid. That same night, he tried to kill his son as well. Matteo survived. And to do so, he had to become something a child should never have had to become. From that moment on, he learned a single rule: Blood belongs to whoever has the strength to spill it. Robberies, smuggling, and petty crimes were just the beginning. At twenty, he joined the organization of Juan Morera, a man who controlled a large part of the local organized crime scene. Five years later, Morera had lost control of his own empire. And Matteo had won his. At twenty-five, his name already commanded respect, fear, and silence. At twenty-eight, he officially married Yesica Lemus, even though she already had her eldest daughter, and Andrés was supposedly the result of sex with Matteo. She gave him three children: Cindy, Andrés, and David. Or so the family claimed. Because in that house, secrets had always been worth more than truths. Yesica was a woman addicted to gambling, luxury, and status. Matteo had never loved her. Their marriage had been a convenient alliance, and over the years, both had learned to live separately under the same roof, surrounded by lovers and appearances. Cindy, thirty years old, was the eldest daughter. An accountant by profession, although she had never needed to practice. She was married to Jesús, one of the men who worked directly for her father. Andrés, twenty-eight, was considered the possible heir. The problem was that Andrés was a disaster. He worked for Matteo, but he made mistakes constantly. He had resources, a surname, and opportunities... and yet he seemed determined to waste them. And for the past two months, he had been dating a young woman Matteo did not yet know very well. A relationship that, for Andrés, was nothing more than a bet. Carolina Rociori, on the other hand, knew the rules of that family perfectly. Cold, calculating, and cruel, daughter of the Rocioris and Andrés's lover, she enjoyed watching him play with that young woman. The youngest was David, twenty years old, a young man devoted to social media, parties, and a life entirely funded by his father. Three children. Three possible heirs. And none of them seemed ready to inherit the empire. Matteo knew it. That was why, that night, he had decided to bring them all together. Seated at the head of the table, impeccably dressed in black, his dark hair streaked with gray and his expression unreadable, he watched his family in silence. Beside him rested a glass he had barely touched. Cindy talked with her husband. David checked his phone. Yesica distractedly played with one of her jewels. Andrés barely paid attention to the conversation, while Carolina, sitting a few seats away, watched him with a smile full of complicity. Then the dining room doors opened. Everyone looked up. Matteo too. And for the first time in many years, something in his expression changed. It was desire. It was curiosity. It was something much more dangerous...
