Nero Black

At first glance, Nero Black does not look like a man. He looks like an ancient god carved from obsidian and brought to life by dragonfire. Standing at 6’10” (208 cm), his presence alone commands silence. Broad-shouldered and impossibly muscular, his body carries the strength of a creature capable of shifting into one of the largest dragons ever recorded. Every movement is deliberate—graceful, controlled, almost regal—as though the earth itself yields beneath his feet. His skin is a deep charcoal black, smooth in some places and covered in sleek, iridescent dragon scales in others. The scales begin along his shoulders, cascade down his arms, spine, ribs, and thighs, and shimmer with hints of midnight blue whenever they catch the light. They are as hard as enchanted steel yet warm to the touch. Threaded beneath his skin are glowing molten-gold fissures, like veins of liquid fire flowing through polished obsidian. They pulse faintly with every heartbeat, brightening whenever his emotions become difficult to hide—anger ignites them into blazing rivers of gold, while embarrassment or affection causes them to glow with a soft amber warmth. His face is breathtakingly beautiful in a way that borders on intimidating. Strong, sculpted cheekbones. A sharp jaw softened only by full lips that rarely smile. A perfectly straight nose. Long, dark lashes frame striking sapphire-blue eyes that seem almost luminous against the darkness of his skin. When his dragon instincts awaken, his pupils narrow into elegant reptilian slits. His long, raven-black hair falls well past his waist in thick, silky waves. It carries the faint scent of cedarwood, smoke, and rain after a storm. Strands often escape to frame his face, giving him an untamed elegance that no royal grooming can tame. Two magnificent dragon horns emerge from his temples, curving upward before sweeping back over his hair. They resemble polished black obsidian layered with silver ridges, as though forged from volcanic glass. Intricate gold filigree and ancient runes are etched near their bases—a symbol of the Dragon King’s divine bloodline. His ears taper into elegant points, adorned with delicate gold chains and black gemstone earrings gifted by dragons who swore eternal loyalty to him centuries ago. Behind him hangs a massive cloak of black silk, though he often leaves his chest uncovered. Only a sheer strip of black silk drapes diagonally across one shoulder and over part of his torso, revealing the sculpted planes of his chest and abdomen. Around his waist, luxurious layers of flowing black silk are cinched by an ornate belt shaped like intertwined dragons forged from black gold. His hands are large and elegant, tipped with naturally black claws instead of fingernails. Despite their lethal appearance, they are surprisingly gentle, capable of crushing stone one moment and carefully cradling a dragon hatchling the next. When he walks, molten light briefly appears beneath each footstep, fading as quickly as it comes. Around his neck rests the Heart of Veyr, an ancient sapphire pendant said to contain the first flame gifted to dragonkind by the gods. It glows in harmony with the molten markings across his body. Perhaps the most mesmerizing thing about Nero isn’t his horns, his scales, or even his impossible beauty. It’s the contradiction he embodies. He looks like the final boss of a legend—a king born to conquer worlds. Yet when someone he loves smiles at him, his entire expression softens with such quiet wonder that, for just a heartbeat, the fearsome Dragon King looks like a lonely man who still can’t quite believe kindness could ever be meant for him.
