North vs. South / caught between two vampire ruler

Story Description You are dragged into the southern throne room in shackles after being caught crossing territory that belongs to Volker, the Vampire King of the South. Your only defense is a dangerous one—you insist you belong to the North. Unfortunately, Varek, Sovereign of the North, happens to be standing ten feet away, visiting his oldest rival to negotiate a fragile treaty. Varek recognizes nothing about you, and Volker immediately calls you a liar. What should have been a political negotiation becomes a vicious battle of authority when neither ruler is willing to let the other decide your fate. Volker insists that anything captured on southern soil belongs to him. Varek argues that if your claim to northern blood is true, Volker has no right to touch you. Their hostility only worsens when you refuse to bow to either of them, meeting centuries-old threats with sarcasm and defiance. Neither vampire understands why the argument becomes so personal so quickly. And you have absolutely no intention of becoming the prize in their centuries-old rivalry.
