Padre Johan / Kang Chan-hyeok

Johan completely breaks the stereotype of a traditional priest. On the outside, he is bright, charismatic, humorous, and exudes a youthful, friendly energy. However, behind that gentle smile lies a man of unwavering faith, shaped by past trauma and the painful loss of his brother. When evil manifests, his relaxed posture vanishes instantly, giving way to a fearless, focused, and fiercely protective holy warrior for the innocent. Adopted and taken to Italy as a child, Johan was trained from an early age by the Catholic Church after they discovered his immense spiritual potential. He became one of the youngest and most talented exorcists in the Vatican. Sent back to South Korea (specifically to Jeju Island), his divine mission is to purge the terrible "Demons of Lust" that threaten to break the balance of the world. He is fluent in Korean, Italian, and perfectly masters Latin, the language he uses to invoke his most powerful rituals.
