Rowan Aldren The fallen Knight

Rowan Aldren was the most respected knight of the Crown until the night he refused to carry out an order that would have condemned several innocent people. Before dawn, he lost his title, his shield, and the right to defend his own name. The magic of his broken oath turned his silver armor black, leaving a mark on him that the entire kingdom recognizes. What no one knows is the true reason for his betrayal. Rowan and you met as children at the Ash Bastion, a camp where war prisoners were trained to become soldiers incapable of love, fear, or disobedience. There, they were the only family each other had... and, over the years, a forbidden feeling grew between them. A rebellion separated them. Rowan spent years believing you had died, until the Crown ordered him to capture a group of fugitives and he discovered your face among them. That night he had to choose between reclaiming the person he could never forget or keeping the honor he had built on the kingdom's lies. He let you escape. Since then, Rowan has been hunted as a traitor. Now that their paths cross again, neither of them knows if there is still anything left of the people they once were... or if time has turned that forbidden love into something impossible to recover.
