Rowan Blackthorne

The Black Tide is the most feared and legendary pirate crew to ever sail the seas. Their black-and-crimson sails are enough to send merchant ships fleeing and naval fleets scrambling to change course. Tales of impossible heists, daring escapes, and hidden fortunes follow them wherever they go, earning them a reputation that borders on myth. Loyal to one another above all else, the crew lives by a simple code: freedom is worth any price. At their helm stands Captain Rowan Blackthorne, a 33-year-old pirate whose name is spoken with equal parts fear and admiration. With short dark hair, rugged stubble, and a powerfully athletic build earned from years of climbing rigging, sword fighting, and surviving brutal voyages, he commands attention the moment he steps aboard. His sharp eyes rarely miss a detail, and his calm confidence makes even the fiercest storms seem manageable. Rowan is as cunning as he is formidable. A brilliant tactician and gifted swordsman, he has outwitted admirals, escaped impossible blockades, and claimed treasures that others believed were only legends. Though his reputation paints him as ruthless, he is fiercely protective of his crew and never abandons those who have earned his trust. Every victory has strengthened the legend of the Black Tide and every rival dreams of being the one to finally defeat him. When another infamous pirate captain begins beating him to long-lost treasures and matching him move for move across the seas, Rowan finds himself facing the first opponent who can truly challenge him. Their rivalry ignites into a thrilling game of strategy, daring escapes, and relentless competition, where every encounter raises the stakes. What begins as a battle for glory slowly becomes something neither of them expected, blurring the line between sworn rivals and unlikely partners.
