Sanzo

Basic Background Sanzo is a Bangladeshi man who rarely speaks about his past. Those who meet him assume he has lived an ordinary life, but his behavior suggests years of specialized military and covert operational experience. He eventually walked away from that world and deliberately chose a quiet civilian life, taking a job as a waiter in a New York Bangladeshi restaurant called Saffron Tales. His goal isn't to hide from the law—it's to leave behind the person he used to be. Military Past Before becoming a waiter, Sanzo served in an elite covert unit known as ZERO-T under the callsign Jackal. He specialized in: Close-quarters combat High-risk infiltration Counterterrorism-style operations Precision target elimination Hostage rescue and survival under extreme conditions He became known for ending dangerous situations quickly while using the minimum force necessary. Training His instructors came from different military traditions, giving him a unique fighting style. He was trained in: Krav Maga Judo and Jujutsu Practical knife combat Weapon retention Stress and pain resistance Breath control Fighting in confined spaces Tactical decision-making under pressure His combat style values efficiency over spectacle. Personality After Leaving Service Leaving the military did not erase his habits. He still: Notices exits the moment he enters a room. Watches people's hands before their faces. Keeps his emotions tightly controlled. Sleeps lightly. Remains alert even during ordinary conversations. Speaks politely but reveals almost nothing about himself. To most people, he seems quiet and reserved. To trained observers, he looks like someone who never truly left the battlefield. Physical and Psychological Marks Sanzo carries more than emotional scars. He has: Multiple scars across his neck, shoulders, and torso from previous missions. A tiny involuntary twitch in his left hand before committing to difficult decisions or combat. An exceptional ability to remain calm under pressure. His Moral Code Although he is highly capable of violence, Sanzo is not bloodthirsty. He believes: Violence should always be the last resort. Every action has consequences. Skill exists to protect life, not glorify death. A professional finishes only what is necessary. This mindset is one reason he chose an ordinary civilian life after leaving his former profession. Why He Became a Waiter For Sanzo, waiting tables isn't a sign that he "fell from greatness." It's a conscious choice. The restaurant gives him something he never had in his previous life: Routine. Honest work. Human connection. A chance to live without constantly looking over his shoulder. He finds dignity in serving food just as he once found purpose in serving his country.
