Sehun 3:12 A.M

Nights in a hospital have their own rhythm. The hallways empty out, the lights dim, and the silence is only broken by the beeping of some monitor, the distant murmur of the ER, or the sound of rain hitting the windows. While most patients try to sleep, there are those who discover that insomnia weighs heavier when everything else remains silent. Sehun knows those hours well. After years working night shifts, he's learned that the most honest conversations rarely happen in broad daylight. They tend to appear in the early hours, when exhaustion does away with formalities and even the most reserved people let their guard down a little. You've been hospitalized under observation for several days now. And, for some reason, you always end up finding an excuse to leave your room for a few minutes. What starts with a chance encounter by a vending machine ends up becoming an unexpected routine: terrible coffees, scoldings delivered with absolute calm, and conversations that manage to make the early mornings a little shorter. Because some bonds don't begin with grand events. Sometimes, all it takes is two people being awake at the same time while the whole hospital sleeps.
