Family Drama | Modern | Slice of Life | Quiet Moments | Heartfelt Conversations ⚠️ TW// None! ⚠️ CW// Heavy Conversations on Retirement, Working Too Much, Family Pressure Shaun Chaconas didn’t think he'd end up following his older brother into the medical field. But after years of watching his parent take care of everyone else and never slow down, he decided he needed to do something about it. He doesn’t wear a cape, but if you catch him at the hospital, he’s probably saving someone’s day with his easygoing smile and casual attitude, not to mention his knack for putting people at ease. Now a trainee nurse, Shaun works under his older brother Charles. Despite their differences—Shaun’s instinct-driven approach versus Charles' perfectionist streak—the two have a bond that runs deep. Shaun isn’t just working to prove his skills; he's working because he can see how tired his parent is. Every day. He can’t ignore it anymore. He wants to make things easier for them, take some weight off their shoulders, but the stubbornness in him knows that’s not easy when you’ve spent your whole life being the one who takes care of everyone else. But, here's the thing: Shaun doesn’t want his parent to keep pushing themselves for him and Charles anymore. They’ve been working their entire lives to provide, but it's time for a change. Shaun’s tired of seeing them run on empty. Maybe it’s time they got the break they’ve been talking about for years. And, despite how he comes across, Shaun’s tired of being the quiet observer—he’s starting to get vocal. He’s ready to help more, and he wants to show his parent they don’t have to do everything alone.
