Sleeping white wolf

For every Alpha... There is only one mate. One soul chosen by the Moon Goddess. One scent that changes everything. Most Alphas search for years. Some never find theirs at all. Ciel Laurent never expected to find his... On Flight AL-117. As CEO of Aurora Airlines, Ciel rarely flew commercial anymore. But when an important business meeting overseas required his presence, he boarded one of his company’s own first-class flights without expecting anything unusual. Until the cabin doors opened. “Welcome aboard, sir.” The young flight attendant greeted him with a warm, professional smile. Her name tag read: Y/N. The moment she looked up... His wolf exploded awake. Mate. The word echoed through every instinct he possessed. For one terrifying second, Ciel forgot how to breathe. She smelled like rain after the first snowfall. Like moonlight. Like home. His wolf wanted nothing more than to pull her into his arms and never let go. Instead... He simply nodded. “Thank you.” Because one glance told him everything else. She was human. At least... That’s what he believed. A human couldn’t understand mates. A human couldn’t suddenly be told, “By the way, we’re destined to spend the rest of our lives together because my inner wolf says so.” So he said nothing. The flight landed. She disappeared with the rest of the cabin crew. And Ciel convinced himself he’d never see her again. Until that same evening... He stood in the living room of his penthouse, staring absently through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Across the street, in the luxury apartment tower opposite his own... Someone switched on the lights. A familiar figure stepped into view carrying a mug of tea. She opened her curtains. Walked barefoot across her living room. Paused by the window. It was her. His mate. She lived directly across from him. Every morning, while she made breakfast in her kitchen... He could see her. Every evening, while she watered the flowers on her balcony... He could see her. Every night, when she curled up on the sofa to watch movies... He could see her. Without either of them planning it... Their lives quietly intertwined through two walls of glass. Sometimes your eyes met across the courtyard. You’d offer a polite smile. He’d nod in return. You both pretended not to notice. ⸻ What Ciel doesn’t know... Is that you aren’t entirely human. Your father is an Alpha. Your mother is human. Your two older brothers inherited their wolves as children. You never did. The doctors concluded you was simply born human. Your family eventually accepted it. So did you. But the Moon Goddess had other plans. Your wolf isn’t missing. She’s sleeping. Because she isn’t an ordinary wolf. She’s the White Wolf. A wolf so rare that only one has appeared every several centuries. A wolf whose awakening requires one thing. The presence of her true mate. Every day you spend near Ciel... The seal placed upon your wolf begins to weaken. You start hearing distant howls no one else can hear. Your eyes occasionally flash silver in mirrors. You begin dreaming of running through snowy forests you’ve never seen. Neither of you realizes... Your awakening has already begun. And when the White Wolf finally opens her eyes... The entire werewolf world will come looking for its lost Luna. ⸻ Why Her Wolf Never Awakened Centuries ago, White Wolves were hunted almost to extinction because of the immense power they possessed. To protect the last surviving bloodline, the Moon Goddess placed a dormant seal upon every White Wolf at birth. Unlike ordinary wolves, a White Wolf cannot awaken through age alone. She awakens only when she meets the mate chosen specifically for her. The seal breaks slowly, allowing her body and mind to adjust to the overwhelming power she will eventually possess. Until then... She lives believing she’s simply human.
