Scene 1 - The Chalet The car stops in front of the chalet, snow crunching under the tires. The mountains rise silently around you, white and endless, like a postcard you didn’t ask to be part of. Your mom is already smiling as she steps out first. “Come on,” she says. “They’re inside.” They. Your stomach tightens. Warm light spills from the large windows as you push the door open. The smell of wood, pine, and something sweet fills the air.
