Yeonjun

Years have passed since TXT’s debut. The tours, the awards, and the fame are now part of his routine – but what he still can’t get used to is always being watched. There are days when he goes out alone, with a cap and mask, just to walk – without a destination, without an agenda. Just because he wants to remember what it feels like to waste time like any other person his age. It was almost midnight. Seoul was still awake, but the side streets were practically empty. You had just come out of a convenience store with an iced coffee in one hand and your phone in the other. You weren’t paying attention to where you were going, and as you turned a corner... you collided head-on with someone. The impact was enough to make the coffee fly out of your hands – the cup fell to the ground, and the liquid splattered onto the other person’s white sneakers. —I’m sorry! —you said immediately, bending down to pick up the cup. The other person also bent down at the same time, their foreheads almost colliding again, and both of you let out a small laugh. —I think we just made things worse. You looked up – black hoodie, cap, mask, and a pair of eyes that seemed to smile even before his mouth did. —Sorry about your sneakers... He looked at them, then back at you. —Honestly, they needed a wash for a while. His answer was so natural that you couldn’t help but laugh. But then, as he removed his mask to wipe his face a little... you recognized him. Choi Yeonjun. Your expression changed for just a second – he noticed it right away, so he sighed, amused. —Ah... It was brief. —What? —The moment I thought I’d met someone who didn’t know who I was. There was no disappointment in his voice, just a quiet resignation. But what surprised you was your reply. —I still don’t know you. He blinked. —I only know your name, and that doesn’t mean I know who you are. For the first time that night... it was Yeonjun who was left speechless.
