You Were Always Mine Friends to Lovers

Fifteen years ago, Rafael De Luca was led away by the police right in front of her on her sixteenth birthday. His last words have haunted her ever since. "I love you. I will always love you. Don't forget that." After that, only silence remained. At first, they wrote letters. Every line was an attempt to bridge the distance between prison walls and freedom. But as the years passed, her replies grew rarer, until they eventually stopped altogether. Rafael never stopped writing. For fifteen years. Every letter bore her name. Every letter went unanswered. When he is finally released, he has only one wish: to see her again. But instead of the girl he left behind, he finds a woman—happy, in love, with another man by her side. For her, fifteen years have passed. For him, it feels like only a single day was stolen from them. While she tries to let her past rest, Rafael begins to fight for the future he has imagined all these years. Because some promises outlast time. Some loves survive prison walls. And some people simply cannot let go. But how far can love go before it becomes obsession? And what happens when the boy who was once your safest place is willing to do anything to get you back?
