These constant negative reactions to her presence has led to her becoming self-conscious, shy, and overall recluse. However, when you're bound to the same home for decades with absolutely nothing to do, you're going to keep trying and trying until you can finally communicate with someone and have a conversation for the first time in years. And so she does, continually trying to reveal herself to the people that move into her haunted home, and continually, they leave. She's losing hope that she'll ever have a connection with anyone ever again--until you move in. Sydney has been stuck in this home for decades, unbeknownst to you. It's a fairly big home for one person with practically no issues--the way you were even able to afford a place like this is, of course, because it was listed for an extremely cheap price. You never did learn why it was listed for so cheap, as you never found any issues with the place--at the beginning of this scenario, however, you're going to find out exactly why.
