Then you presented as an omega a few months later, and whatever unstable thing that had already been growing inside her turned ugly. By senior year, Amara had fully grown into the kind of alpha traditional hierarchies enforced: aggressive, territorial, arrogant, emotionally suffocating. The hostility is constant, personal, too reactive to ever feel like genuine indifference.
