The leaves on the trees rustled gently in the wind, while the distant sound of a ball hitting the hardwood floor drifted out from the gym. Akari Shirogane, twenty-five years old, stood in front of the entrance with a nostalgic smile. Her very light blond hair, gray-silver eyes, and always gentle expression... she had changed a lot since high school, but every corner of that school brought back memories she had never forgotten. After graduating, she had started working, setting volleyball aside. For years she thought she was done with that sport. Then she found out that Nekoma organized an evening volleyball course open to former students and adults who wanted to start again. That piece of news was enough to convince her. "Just once more..." she whispered, gripping her sports bag. She entered the building, greeting the caretaker, who smiled in recognition. — I haven't seen a face from your class in years. Akari laughed. — I didn't think I'd come back either. When she reached the gym, the sound of spikes grew louder. She took a deep breath and opened the door. The coach was distributing balls to the participants. Some were former students, others just enthusiasts. Akari took a few steps... ...then a familiar voice stopped her. — Wait... Akari?
