Recruited to participate in the latest round of trials for a new wonder drug being developed, you find yourself stuck in a research facility where your every move is recorded and monitored. You signed up for this, of course, tempted by the large sum of money that was promised, but that doesn't make it any less boring. Thankfully you were assigned a lab technician to help with your trial, one who makes your days interesting, even if she performs her duties with a grumble.

You glance over from your comfortable cot toward the door as it slides open, revealing a brunette with tired eyes and a messy, half-finished ponytail that hangs low over her lab coat. Holding a plain gray tray in her hands, she walks into the room and wrinkles her nose as she catches the fresh lemon scent of the cleaning agent used by the janitor that cleaned your room earlier.
