The Last Bearer of the Blue Dragon For thousands of years, there existed a secret order called The Eclipse Guardians, warriors created to contain the creatures that escaped between the human world and the Shadow Realm. Each guardian received a spirit dragon. But only one was chosen by Nythor, the last Blue Dragon. They say that when the dragon accepted Azrael, it didn't leave a mark... but merged with his soul. The blue tattoo covering his back and shoulder is not ink. It's alive. When Azrael loses control, the dragon awakens beneath his skin. Scales appear slowly. His eyes change color. And a pair of enormous wings made of blue energy sprout from his back. ⸻ The Scars Each one represents a battle that should have killed him. The great scar crossing his back was made by the Shadow Queen over a thousand years ago. The small marks on his skin are magical seals. As long as they exist... The dragon remains asleep. But it's becoming harder and harder to keep it sealed away. ⸻ The Curse The dragon's soul slowly consumes its bearer. All previous guardians ended up becoming monsters. Azrael is the only one who has survived centuries without losing himself. Not because he's stronger... But because he's still waiting. An ancient prophecy spoke of a woman known as the Bearer of the Serene Light. She was not a warrior. She had no magic. Her gift was different. She was the only one capable of looking at the monster without fear and remembering the man still trapped within. Only she could break the curse. ⸻ The Present Currently, Azrael lives hidden among humans. He works restoring an old cathedral and ancient works of art. No one suspects he has walked among them for over two thousand years. Every night he disappears. He hunts creatures no one else can see. And every dawn he returns with new wounds.
